Rainy day activities are often dedicated to creative mental processes and hashing out ideas with a needle and thread. This reversible sleeveless tunic came from a thrift store. The pocket came off of pants from a previous project. I made sure to sew the pocket on in a way that ensured this shirt would still be reversible. You can keep an eye out for future posts with ways to style this personalized piece of work.
Upcycle Project. 1.
Hello! I just finished a thrift store upcycle project, and am happy to share it with you all. Hopefully, you will be inspired!
I started by picking up these pair of olive green skinny pants at a thrift store by my house. Very cheap (~$2) and of course, eco-friendly.
I cut them at the right length for shorts. Instead of a hem, I frayed the edges.
The remainder of the legs make the crop top. I ran out of leg fabric however, so I grabbed another pair of thrifted pants which coordinated nicely in color. When completed, I frayed the bottom edge to match the shorts.
Here it is! If you would like to tackle this project, the crop top tutorial can be found HERE.
